These terms form a binding agreement between you and Chitra Tamilarasan trading as TeamMate AI(ABN 51 577 509 798, business address 45 Harding St, Hilbert WA 6112, "we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.
1. The service
TeamMate AI is a software-as-a-service platform provided by Chitra Tamilarasan trading as TeamMate AI that helps Australian small businesses generate quotes, manage customers and communicate with clients, using AI where useful.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old and authorised to bind your business.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
- Provide accurate business information (including ABN where applicable).
3. Subscriptions, billing and Merchant of Record
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"). Paddle is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries relating to billing and handles returns, refunds, chargebacks and tax collection on our behalf. Your purchase is also subject to the Paddle Checkout Buyer Terms, which govern payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics.
- Paid plans (Pro, Business) are billed monthly or annually in Australian dollars via Paddle and renew automatically until cancelled.
- The Free plan is limited to 3 AI-generated quotes per month.
- You can cancel at any time from the Billing page or from the Paddle-hosted customer portal linked in your receipt. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds for unused days.
- We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice by email.
- All prices are quoted in AUD. Applicable taxes (including GST) are calculated, collected and remitted by Paddle as the Merchant of Record.
4. Refunds
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on your first paid subscription. Refunds are processed by our Merchant of Record, Paddle. To request a refund, use the buyer portal at paddle.net or email supportteammateai@gmail.com and we will assist. Nothing in this section limits any rights you have under Australian Consumer Law.
5. AI-generated content — very important
TeamMate AI uses machine learning models to help you draft quotes, scopes of work and messages. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete or out-of-date.
- You must review every AI-generated quote, price, scope and message before sending it to a customer.
- You are solely responsible for the accuracy of pricing, materials, GST and any professional advice implied in your quotes.
- TeamMate AI is a productivity tool, not a licensed trade, accountant, or legal adviser.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for anything unlawful or in breach of Australian Consumer Law.
- Send spam, scams, or unsolicited marketing via the SMS/quote features.
- Upload data you do not have the right to upload, or content that is harmful, defamatory or infringing.
- Attempt to break, reverse-engineer, resell or overload the service.
- Use the service to generate content that impersonates another business or misleads consumers.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules.
6a. SMS, email marketing and phone calls (Spam Act & WA rules)
When you use TeamMate AI to send SMS, email or make/receive calls to your customers you are the sender under the Spam Act 2003 (Cth), the Do Not Call Register Act 2006 (Cth), the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), and (in Western Australia) the Fair Trading Act 2010 (WA) and Consumer Protection rules administered by DMIRS. You agree that:
- Consent: you only send commercial SMS/email to people who have given express or reasonably-inferred consent (e.g. an existing customer who gave you their number for the job).
- Sender ID: every message clearly identifies your business name. TeamMate AI prepends your business name automatically where possible.
- Unsubscribe: every outbound SMS includes a functional "Reply STOP to opt out" footer. TeamMate AI records STOP replies and will not send further SMS to that number. You must not attempt to circumvent this.
- Send hours: automated SMS follow-ups only send between 9:00 AM and 8:00 PM local time.
- No unsolicited telemarketing: you must not use the missed-call/callback or voice-assistant features to cold-call numbers on the Do Not Call Register. These features are for responding to your own customers.
- WA-specific: quotes, estimates and invoices you generate must comply with the Australian Consumer Law and, for building work in WA, the Home Building Contracts Act 1991 (WA) and Building Commission requirements (written contract for work over $7,500, cooling-off, insurance disclosures, licence number where required).
- Records: you must keep evidence of consent for at least the retention period required by law and produce it if a customer or regulator asks.
You are the sender and the responsible person for messages sent through your account. TeamMate AI provides compliance tooling (consent gate, STOP handling, sender ID, send-window enforcement) but does not accept liability for messages you send in breach of these rules.
7. Your data
You own the data you put into TeamMate AI. We only use it to run the service for you as described in our Privacy Policy. You can export or delete your data at any time.
8. Availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, and third-party providers (hosting, SMS, AI) may occasionally be unavailable.
9. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the total liability of Chitra Tamilarasan trading as TeamMate AI (ABN 51 577 509 798) for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under Australian Consumer Law.

You may close your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, don't pay, or misuse the service. On termination we will delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
